What is the best way to bond the carpet into your car
Hey, I plan on restoring a 73 super beetle and I was wondering what is the best adhesive spray that I can buy to bond the carpet to the floor.
thanks, MIke |

my tundra came with some velcro around the edges of the carpet. It seems pretty slick, but it doesn't answer your question..

I read some talk about this stuff called DAP glue. I think I read it all in a thread about a cracked dash. There was a lot of info about it and how to get it.

DAP landue top and trim contact cement is some of the best stuff you can buy. That's what we use @ the Uphostery shop. From re-wrapping door panels and trim pieces to gluing carpet or backing down where needed, that's what we use.
RickwithaTbird, good memory, the cracked dash thread was the thread indeed the thread you about the DAP in. motormike40, click on the link, the information I gave in the that post should help. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...5&postcount=24
