After a year, here it is...

Well, after almost a year of starring at in sitting on my desk, I decided to finish it...I finally opted for leaving it curbside, after having a bit of trouble with engine detail. I wanted to go a little too far and got smacked in the stomach ....maybe next time

I had a few firsts on this one: carbon decals, aftermarket wheels, scratchbuilt parts and some other minor things.
The carbon hood warped as I was applying the decals and I wasn't able to shape it back.

Lets hear your opinion, people!
Thanks for looking

Re: After a year, here it is...

Your butt must hurt like hell after sitting on it behind your desk for a year... Model looks nice. The color is great and the wingless look seems to become more and more popular. Which I'm able to understand

BTW, we're even in the contest for the last couple of weeks now... Who will win in our private AFMOTY?

I'm in just for the fun... I don't expect to win anything at all..eheheh
But my guess is that it's gonna end just like that.
From my point of view, people only vote because of the builder's name...

Anyway, thanks for the comments, guys.

It looks naked without the wing...
It's just missing something.

Re: After a year, here it is...

paint is very shiny, seems like everything came out minty, the only drawback is i think the exhuast is a little out of scale, but then again its a skyline and you can get some massive exhuast systems for them.

Thanks, MidMazar
It was my first try in scratchbuilding parts and admit I got carried away with the exhaust size eheh. I'm not very happy with this build, I just wanted to get it over with.
About the hood, a very cool fellow modeler sent me one all the way from Brazil. I'm just waiting for it to arrive (thanks CrisJr) I'll be replacing this with the new one, but this time I'm painting the CF pattern....not going to risk ruinning it with CF decal and Microsol (again....)

Thanks for looking.

I like the finish on it. Looks particularly aggressive in the second photo.

Nice job, needs a blackwash to the rims to bring out the great detail on them but dont overdo it, have another go at the hood, try heating the back with a hairdryer and gently bend it back into shape. If all else fails I have a spare from the GT wing Veilside you could have. If you need it PM me we'll sort something out it seems a shame to give up on it afer 12 months.
