Driver window down & Airbag warning on

My 98 Venture driver's window went down and won't come up! The Airbag light also flashes on start up. It's -10 degrees CELCIUS here and I have to pick up four kids in an hour!!!! I'll try taping plastic for now, but is this something hubby can fix when he's back or do we need to wait till Monday for the mechanic? Thanks!

Re: Driver window down & Airbag warning on

You say that the airbag light flashes on startup. Does it go out or stay on when the engine is running? I own 2 Ventures, and both driver's side windows did that to me. It was a faulty master switch on the driver's door panel. I would first start with the simplest and cheapest fix and go from there. Make sure the connections to the switch are tight and clean. Then check for power to the switch.
