It's a 5spd and lately has been driving as though it wants to stall unless it gets around 3500rpm. only then is it smooth driving.
the check engine light has pretty much always been on (for a year, but no other problems with the car) and today it blinked once when the battery was on. how do i find out what code it's trying to relate? any ideas what might be wrong? |

i have a 97 honda civic hx and my check engine light never goes off. i went to autozone to have them check it and it came up as the egr valve. and on these hx models there was a recall on the egr valve, what happens is there is carbon buildup inside it and all you can really do is open it clean it out good and replace the gasket, unless you want to pay a pretty penny to have the stupid thing replaced!
