Cool Chevy Malibu - old and dirty

Hi,

this time I show you a Chevy Malibu. A car the owner can (still) work with. I guess it will break soon. It belong the owner of a wrecking company ….

The model was built more than 10 years ago, weathered and packed with everything that was found. When I built it I felt the urg not to built a model with a high gloss apperance.

Hi Dr.AK,

the car was airbrushed with flat yellow and covered with several falt clear coats. Then thinned modelcolours were used to make the dirt, rust, primer, etc. It was a rather long time to build it, because I let all colours dry thoroughly before I aplied the next one, but it was fun.

Put this on the table with all these high shine street machines. I bet this one will draw most attention, nice build...good to see an old beater.

I like the piza in the front seat. That really is a great bit of art work. Makes a change to see something older, and more beaten up..!! Like a proper road car, not the flashy sports cars etc.. Not to say the flash cars are rubbish, it's just that your work is original, and one of a kind. But then again, so can some of the more clean looking builds.

Supber job.
