newbie can draw!!!

not bragging, really, but I found this forum and I have since re-kindled my passion for pencil art.

so here is my first real drawing in 7 years, it is a rough draft, but it is a start.

it is going to represent a model kit I purchased a while back, then when I get it all colored in and finnished I am going to build the kit as rendered in the drawing. please comment and be honest.

Re: newbie can draw!!!

I recognized what it was without you labeling, so I guess thats a good start!

Rear end looks a tad bubbly though.

Re: Re: newbie can draw!!!

well it is a good line drawing.

but i see a couple of problems.
1. your first post in s/d and you say something cocky
2. you said something cocky and didn't back it up
3. you said something cocky
4. you do NOT talk about fight club.

please try not and get yourself ripped apart. please stay and enjoy this wonderful place.

Re: newbie can draw!!!

hahaha, I love you guys too! I just made that statement to get attention, honestly. I know I can use improvement, that is why I like the brutal honesty of these forums. you all have such great renderings, I just wanna share mine and be as cocky as I can while doing it! hahaha! I also just finished my first ever KARTOON! I hope you all enjoy it, I know I had fun doing it, while playing YATZI (sp?)

Re: newbie can draw!!!

ahhhhh lined paper!!!! that drawing deserves white paper with no lines. you should trace it onto white paper then color it. i like the angle you chose.

Re: newbie can draw!!!

Tim, I think a time like this calls for a "NO LINED PAPER" announcement.

Re: newbie can draw!!!

yeah, like I said though, I was playing yatzi and when it wasn't my turn I was doodling on the scorebook. I like how it turned out so I am going to do one up right on some real quality paper, using either colored pencil or water color markers.

by the way thanks for the comments, I was thinking the rear end of the S14 was kinda fat as well. I guess we will see how it turns out.

by the way 'TOONZ, what medium are you using to get the effect such as the image in your sig?
