Angry Unexperienced Drivers

Alright I know this is a stupid thing to post in this forum but it has to do with racing in the streets so please dont criticize it . Last night me and a couple of friends were out and we went to this place were we usually hang out at b4 doing some runs, after 1/2 an hour this supra fishtails around the turn u take to get inside the lot we was in....the guy keeps missing shifts and redlining the car like theirs no tomorrow. We tried to ignore it but the kid came up and started talking to us.....To my surprise the kid was 17 and he just got the car so I asked him to how much he spent on buying it and his parents bought it for him (a $36,000 gift ). I didnt believe him at first but he started trying to tell me what he had on it (notice I said trying this kid didnt know what he was messing with) and when i saw that engine I was like wow (TT everything looked aftermarket), he said he was running 600hp and I believed him cause I reconized the car.... the guy who sold it loved speed and raced alot too. We just sit their and he starts getting annoying cause he wants us to race him (if we did we would stand no chance). I finally gave up and when I told him lets go he goes first and by the way he was driving you knew he couldnt control that car but I went with it anyways. we stoped at the light were we race from and when we were bout to take off I hear his engine roaring....I dont know what happened but all I remember was him smoking his tires and when I look back ( I was expecting him to be way ahead) I see this kids car fliped upside down.....I really dont know what happened all I know is I was on 3rd gear when I looked back and he was already upside down (I was driving my uncles vette). He was a little shook up but ok, cant say the same about the car though....that shit was totaled (gave him a ride home after that) so I dont know whats up with him. I bet his parents were pissed wrecked a $40 thousand dollar car in 2 days. Again this might not make any sense but I thougth I share what can happen when the wrong driver gets the wrong car. I know what its like beign in a serious wreck and I just wish people would consider their choices before buying such a serious machine......Yall tell me what you think, all I know that kid came out lucky he wasnt dead.

Re: Unexperienced Drivers

Really if you don’t know how to drive you should have to make a car fast yourself and not just buy the fruits of someone else’s labor. That way you will truly appreciate it and more importantly know how to handle it.

One of the guys I was with said he burned out and I guess he couldnt handle the car taking off with such speed so he spun out and hit the curb while he was sideways (just got done talking to the guy about it). Honestly I saw that coming

The formula:
HIgh performance car
+
Unexperienced driver
=
Accident waiting to happen

Re: Unexperienced Drivers

Wow, good thing he didn't kill himself. But I don't blame him, blame his parents, I mean how do they expect an unexperienced driver to handle 600hp?

Maybe he learned something.

Glad nobody got hurt and you got to be pretty happy that kid didn't hit your car.

If I would of gone slow like I was planning on doing that would of most likely been the result but I decided to give it a try.........and speaking of first cars my car was a volvo 850 turbo I got from my parents. Thing was zippy and pretty fast for a 4 door car (300hp after a few mods) my parents knew that but volvos are like tanks thats y I wound up with it .

Re: Unexperienced Drivers

Man...how big are your curbs? I mean, I'm just trying to imagine how big a curb would have to be to flip a car over? You gotta try to do that. My first car was a Rav4, and I hit a curb bad and bounced, but it didn't roll at all, and its a lot easier to roll a Rav than a Supra. Man, that sucks.

600 HP feeding tires with no traction makes cars do weird things when they hit curbs.

Re: Unexperienced Drivers

I guess so. But even then, with the Supra's center of gravity, that thing had to be damn vertical on its tail or door. Eh, I never have had aheered to physics anyhow...I can fly like the Chinese guys in all the Kung Fu movies...
