Is primer still required if....?
Maybe this question has been asked before but I did a search and nothing came along.
The question is, the base color of the model is already Grey? Would it be better to still spray a layer of Grey primer over it before I start to spray the colors on? How would it affect the color and result of the spray overall? |

Re: Is primer still required if....?
Primer will remove any imprefections from whatever you plan to paint and will ensure a smooth coat.

Also if your model has sharp edges and turns, your final layer will not bleed from those.

thanks for the answers guys
I guess I'll just spray primer on my models, no matter what the base color is!

Re: Is primer still required if....?
Yes because purpose of primer is to give colour something to "hang on" and not only to give base colour.
