Early 90's 300z stock 1/4 times?

I'm looking at the 300 as an option. I see high mileage 300z's for good prices. Here are my questions:

1) What is the 1/4 times for stock TT and base models, both manual 5 spds.

2) How available and whats the price of a slightly used TT engine (if i chose to get a base and add TT later)? Is the engine the same, anything need strengthening?

Any advice or comments on this car is greatly appreciated.

How strong is the rear end and tranny? My dad has a VR-4, I dont feel comfortable with the tranny, but its nice. Despite the weight, the car is extremely nimbal and was able to complete the slalom at 67.6 MPH according to car and driver, one of the fastest of the supercars in the early 90's. But, it's an expensive car to maintain and I still dont feel comfortable with the tranny... Think I'm leaning towards the 300...

300ZX TT: Quarter mile is 14 seconds flat

300ZX NA: Quarter mile is 15 seconds flat

I recommend that you do not go for getting an NA and buying a TT engine...just by the TT...the swap will end up costing you about $7K on top of your base car so just save the money and buy the TT.

I'd take a ZX TT over a VR4 anyday...it's faster, lighter, more reliable, handles just as good...if not better...dont let the AWD fool you...w/a heavy car w/turbo and AWD lag...she doesnt get off the line or cut S-curves like a scalpel.
