My photoshop does not work???

Well, my photoshop got all f up... (8.0 CS) When I choose specific area it does no perform anything to it when i change colors and all, everything just stays the same. I tried to lower a VW beetle all it does is lower the selected area. It would not even delet things that are selected. I am a noob at this I have had photoshop for over 3 days now. Is there a mode that I turned on or off? Please help, any responses will be appriciated.

I have tried everything, lowering feathering, settings all the settings... Damn this sucks, is there a way to reset the whole photoshop?

Pavlo, you need to learn wich tools to use, this is not a problem that photoshop has, you just need to learn how to do things. Photoshop is all about experimenting and that's what you should do, experiment and learn photoshop to achive good skills.

Iamcool, this happens when you feather a selection to a number of pixels that is bigger than half of the selection radius wich means that the selection would be too featherd for you to select. In other words just don't feather too much and you'll be fine.

Re: My photoshop does not work???

I like photoshop 7.0 since thats what my school uses. Maybe it is easier also. Worth a shot.

Re: My photoshop does not work???

7.0 and 8.0 are exactly the same... the only difference is some minor additions and the fact that when u click on one of the filters a window with all filters appears (which makes 8.0 more easy and convinient to use)
