Question Cleaning and Coloring Photoetched Parts

I picked up some photoetched parts for my Testarossa today. I got some Cavalinos and some Pininfarina badges, but they were sold out of the "FERRARI" logo I really wanted (I really don't want to hand-paint that! )

So I want to know two things for working with them:

1. How do you polish them? What do you use? The Pininfarina badges are supposed to be metal, but they should be brighter. I don't know how old these are, but they're kinda dingey... yuk!

2. How do you make them black? The prancing horse for the rear end needs to be black, but should it be painted, or is there a chemical treatment to make it metallic black?

Thanks, guys!

(BTW, the Testarossa will be red. I know you guys will appreciate that.)

:bandit: shine them up with your polishing kit for paint, the finer the grit
the better the shine !
I don't think there is any way to tint or anodize the photo-etch unless it's made from aluminum, but regular enamel sticks pretty well !
