? on exhaust

im plannin on gettin a new exhaust for my car and i want to get a mac h-pipe, but im not sure whether to get hi-flow cats or no cats, and my question is if i get cats on this exhaust, will i loose a significant amount of hp, and will it not sound as good as having no cats?

Aftermarket hi-flow cats do not lose a ton of hp over no cats. There is some sound difference but I find it very minimial others think it' shuge.

Re: ? on exhaust

if you live in a non emissions regulated area i would go with a non cated mid pipe they are cheaper. i think no cats sounds more rought than a catted pipe but it sounds cooler i think, more mean.

Re: ? on exhaust

The popping is from the cylinders leaning out under deceleration. Get an adjustable FPR and a dyno tune....

It is technically against federal regs to remove cats on a pollution controlled motor vehicle. That being said, catted cars tend to have a slightly more choked off sound compared to non-catted.

Anymore, you aren't losing much HP with a High-Flow catted pipe over an O/R pipe.

fuel pressure regulator. you should get a dyno tune because unlike a factory regulator, you have to set the pressure yourself, and if you set it wrong you could lean a cylinder and burn a piston. remember, lean makes power but rich is safe.
