my question is are most people putting 45 series tires on 16in wheels or 40 series. I wont have rubbing problems, will I? also tire width, 205 or 215? any help would be apreciated

send an email to Luke, the tire rack guy, he'll give you the low down on what you'll need.
here is a link to his thread http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...hp?forumid=964 |

use a tyre calculator like the one at www.tires.com to figure out what size of tyre u need.
the reason why people get lower sidewalls is due to the use of a larger rim... but want to maintain stock overall diameter so as not to require a speedometer adjustment. it's called "plus sizing" |

here is the general idea of plus sizing...
Plus 1: Increase section width by 10mm Decrease aspect ratio by 10 points Increase rim diameter by 1 inch Plus 2: Increase section width by 20mm Decrease aspect ratio by 20 points Increase rim diameter by 2 inches Courtesy of 1010tires.com as the pattern goes, you can figure out what you need for plus 3 and plus 4 fittings...
