I'm thinking about a kenne bell 9psi kit on my stock 02 GT mustang 5spd..what else would I have to do to keep this car a reliable daily driver?

Nothing just install the kit correctly per directions and don't drive like you stole it all the time.... Kenne Bell packages there S/C in complete everything you need to drive and live comfortably package.

PS: Spring the extra $$ for the 11psi liquid aftercooler set-up so you can push 11psi at the track.

Re: kenne bell!

I don't mean to butt in, but how is the Paxton NOVI-1000 supercharger is it worth the $2000?

Re: kenne bell!

Well, I can only afford the 9psi kit without the intercooler...gotta pay for installation! And so my rear end and tranny wont be destroyed by all that brand new hp and torque?!

Re: kenne bell!

Nah, install it yourself! I just helped out with a bullitt intake install, and it was way easier than I expected. I've also done a Kenne Bell on a 5.0, so it shouldn't be that hard.

Re: kenne bell!

none its controled by thorttle postion so if u dont floor it ur good. some people have told me that milage will go up if u dont drive hard at all (yeah thats not easy if u got a sc to tempting) bc the engine becomes more effiecent with the supercharger but i dont know if that is true.

I don't have a garage or I would be doing the install myself.

1.7 and 2.2L blowers are offered for 2V cars. 2.2 and 2.4 are offered as upgrades for the cobras.

That's a turbo that's controlled by throttle input. Less throttle=less heat in the exhaust=less boost. Superchargers are spooled by engine RPM spinning the pulley.

If this were true the motor would be IDLING under boost. The KB's have an internal bypass valve so when the throttle is partially open it just bypasses any pressurized air from entering the system, so that the blower takes very little power to drive and is not just blasting hot air into the motor.
