Question adjust the e-brake

when im going down the road and the road can even be wet i can pull the e-brake and nothing will happen. how do u adjust the paring brake or e-brake on a 2002 v6 mustang????????????

First climb underneath the car real quick and make sure all the cables are still connected and nothing broke.

Then there is a nut on the E-brake handle you can turn to take up some of the slack. If that doesn't fo it you need to go back underneath and there is another place to take up slack where it spilts into the 2 cables.

If that doesn't do it either one or all of ya cables need to be replaced or ya back brakes.

yeahh i have the same problem on my 03 gt. e-break is only good for parking, it wont lock the wheels wich is very usefull for parallel parking lol jk

Look behind the rear disc brake, some models have an inner drum brake (the e-brake), there will be a little slot to put a screwdriver in....move the little star shaped wheel up or down to tighten the pads up against the drum
