Buying a Supra

I'm knew to the whole japanese sports cars. I have always been into the classic american muscle but I just checked out 1988 Supra turbo and I enjoyed it greatly and am looking to purchase it. My problem is that i don't have a clue as to how much is a fair price for it. If somebody could give me some advice as to a fair price and possibly some key features/problems to look for.....thanks alot

1988 Toyota Supra turbo
white w/dark blue interior
85,000 miles
5-speed
targa top
a/c
power everything
alloy wheels

The timing belt, head gasket, and the other belts were changed at 75,000. The car was also repainted around that same time. He is asking $5,500......what is fair? I have been told no more than 4,000

Re: Buying a Supra

I think that seems about right if the car is in that good of shape and everything is as the seller says it is, I wouldn't see a problem with that price, but I'm sure you can get it for an even 5, maybe 4500
