Lightbulb Restoring clear parts

After a little experimenting in the laboratory today i discovered an easy way to restore clear parts which have suffered from minor scratches, here's how;
Today i went out and purchased some Auto Glym paint renovator (as recommended by Guiddy) as an alternative to the usual T-Cut i use due to the annoying residue it leaves behind in all the panel lines etc. It did a fine job of bringing a glossy shine to my Tamiya Ford Sierra, after which i tested its abbrasive qualities out on a scrap windsheild. First i gave the piece a wetsand with 1500 wet and dry to remove the scratches then applied the Auto Glym which cleared up the part very well. To improve the sheen even further i then brushed on some Johnson's Clear floor wax (or Future floor polish - depending where your from!) and now the windsheild looks just as good as it was when it came out of the box.

For harsher scrathes u would need to start with coarser grit wet + dry changing to finer grades. But it works, give it a go and see if u agree.
