Question Clear coat on clear parts?

Does any one out there know if you can apply clear coat to clear plastic parts without any problems. To explain I need to seal a homemade waterslide sunstrip decal to a clear plastic windscreen.

I can obviously mask most of the windscreen but was unsure if the small overlap needed to seal the decal would show or have an effect on the clear plastic.

I am using Humbrol Just Crystal Clear.

Thanks

Perhaps you don't know what it is, but deeping that part en Future is by far the best option, in my opinion.

Thanks for the replies

I am new to all of this, but floor polish I'm stunned

Looks a great tweak for clear but will it also seal the water slide decal onto the glass in the same way clear would?

Should have read the linked article in full before replying. Looks like it will be an addition to the next shopping list. Thanks again everyone.
