Cool Citroen Xsara 2004

Hi everybody,

I am a registered member of this forum since yesterday.
This thread is just a test, I hope it works.

The model is the 2004 Citroen Xsara WRC from the Monte Carlo Rallye. It is from heller with Renaissance Decals and a detail-set.

Hope you like it

Micha

About the weathering: The body is covered with 2-K-Acrylic Clear. Weathering is waterbased airbrush-color from Schmincke.

Micha

That looks WAY better than any Heller Xsara I've ever seen!

Re: Citroen Xsara 2004

You've done a great job on a kit that is generally recognised as being very poor. Always nice to see rally cars on this forum, got more? And welcome to the board, your introduction was excellent

Re: Citroen Xsara 2004

Excellent job. I have put that kit back on my shelf a couple of times already because of the reviews on it, but your pictures give me hope it could turn out nice after all. Beautiful job, got any more cars you want to post up?

Hi ales,

after I built this kit, I must say you cannot compare it to a kit produced in Japan. This model cost about 55 - 60 Euro (kit + decals + resin/etch parts). It took about twice the time to build it, f.e. I scratched the complete rollcage because the kit parts were too thin. There are no inner doors, the whole sides must be scratchbuilt. Nevertheless, the result was worth the efforts.

I have some more photos of built kit (race cars and streetcars) and within the next weeks IŽll make some phots and show you them. Recently I started to make photos during the building process, I intend to show them, too.

Thanks for your welcome
Micha

Sweet! awesome job with it!

Just for mentioning it.. Loeb has been here in my small village for about one week and preparing his car for the Swedish rally.

Welcome to AF Micha
Great result on a tricky kit. One of the best Xsara's I've seen.
