Which adjustable cam gear for ZC
Which adjustable cam gears will fit the DOHC ZC engine? Will the D16A6 SOHC cam gear fit, or is it some other weird part like all the other ones on the ZC?

Re: Which adjustable cam gear for ZC
The short answer is that the D16A6 cam gears will NOT work. You have a couple of choices. There are a couple of companies, I forget who, that make a ZC cam gear. They're spendy. The other option is to get a set of B-series gears and take them to your friendly machine shop and ask them to make them narrower by about 1/8th of an inch. Don't quote me on that, but I think that's what it is. You should check out www.quickhonda.net, he's got some great info and some good answers. There's also www.honda-perf.org, where they have tons of ZC resources. You could also google up for a bagillion other sources... happy hunting!

Not sure where you got that from but the d16a6 will work, there is only one company that makes gears specifically for the zc and thats hks. oh and there like 700 bones, if you can still get them. but the a6's will work they are not exact, but the closest you will get. they are off a half tooth(retard) so you will have to adjust them to set them straight and then mark new marks so that you know where zero is. if you look at a stcok cam gear the 0' mark is in between 2 teeth and on the a6 its in the middle. no big deal to do though just take a 5mm pin (or drill bit) and put it in the holes on the cams to set them at zero then rotate the gears until they are at zero and mark the new marks. easy.
