Cool Reseting Engine Light. How? any Links?

I put an intake in my freind's 2000 Prelude. I know you have to reset the Check Engine light because I had to to do it for my Integra, but I don't know how for a Prelude. If anyone can real quick just give me any advise or a link to a website telling me how to do it we would appreciate it. Also, we heard of this new website for parts called www.streetstyling.com They're not up yet but some of our friends heard about it. They're suppose to carry a lot of shit amd not askin a lot for it. Check them out sometime this month when they go public and we'll post again if they're dope. Thanks in advance for your help about the light.

Did you unplug the negative cable while you installed the intake? If not try doing it now. When you put the cable back on and your indash stereo asks for a code, you know the ECU was reset. Thats if you still got the stock dash unit.

Its what i did to my lude when i installed my CAI. Although my engine light never came on.

Send a message via AIM to drift
pull the ECM fuse out and put it back in after 5 minutes with the car off. it's located in the fuse box in the driver's kick panel on a 5th gen Prelude.

it's easier than pulling the battery cable since you dont have to reset your stereo, clock, etc.

Check engine light

Hey pulling the backup fuse or disconnecting the battery good and cheap or you can also take it to the shop for them to put a scan tool and erase the code of the ECU with without pulling the plug. with OBD II the check engine light doesn't go off for certain amount of key cycles.

Hhmmm. The check engine light didnt come on for me when I had my intake done... Vaccum hose not loose anywhere????

Anyhow...Disconnect the battery neg cable. pull the 7.5amp fuse in the fuse block inder hood. pull the ECu fuse in drivers kick panel. leave out for 5 min... Reverse procedure. start car and let it IDLE for 5 min. No touch anything while its idling. The check eng light should not come back on unless something is wrong with emmissions system (intake included).

Its not true when the guy said the check engine light would not go off for a couple of cycles... Once you reset the ecu, it should go off...But may come back on if something is wrong....
