Unhappy Models that no longer exist...

Hi. Due to me being an extremely stupid, uncaring and selfish individual, the models pictured below are no longer in existence. I just thought I would share. Please feel no pity for me. I deserved it. I still have the rest of my collection of builts and unbuilts so life goes on. No questions please. I've learned my lesson and must move on.

Not to mention an RX-7 that I never photographed.

Pity on such beautiful subjects, even if you told us not to I can't help feeling a bit sad anyway. We just have to be glad that you have some pics left and shared them with us.
RIP, beautiful ones

That's a shame.

On a positive note you now should have lots of seats and wheels and other cool parts to use on future builds.

Okay, no pity party but let's have a Model Destructor's Anonymous meeting in it's place. .

Hi, I'm Bob. I've destroyed a model. I've managed to only let that happen once a number of years ago, it was a doozy. I was beyond pissed. It was a gorgeous model, very unique, in a great color that a friend had given me from a 1:1 car in his shop. For an odd reason, I still hold no remorse for my action. It was swift, the destruction was catastrophic, and I actually felt better afterwards. I plead the fifth as to what precipitated the anger. It was trivial.

The wheels lived on, they were salvaged at the time reside on a model I built as a gift for one of my best friends.

This year I found a headlight lense from it, still embedded into the concrete block. Even though the lense was clear and rather thick, it had seriously deep gouges from the impact. And I laughed.

Remembering the episode has kept other models from a similar fate. And kept my quick-tempered sanity relatively intact at times that it might otherwise have gone over the edge.

Keep the faith! You still planning on coming to visit us in January? If so, let us know, we should plan an A/F lunch beforehand or something.

Re: Models that no longer exist...

fool you for not having anger control, to be honest i used to smash the ones i built that looked terrible, should have kept them, every model is part of the learning process. you learn your modelling skills the hard way, some good, some bad. it's life.
p.s. i dont pity you at all.

Re: Models that no longer exist...

First, I wasn't the one that did the smashing. Second, I didn't post this for "pity" . Third, I couldn't agree with you more on the statement below...
