Damn! Had an accident!! :(

We just got our first snow storm here in Toronto Canada, and I was stupid and put off getting Winter Tires.

I was taking it easy because it was so snowy, but this 18 wheeler suddenly comes out of a parking lot and it scared me, so I hit the brake. Well, the car started spinning and doing 180's on the road, and then the left front wheel slammed into the curb and blew out my tire and cracked a piece of the rim

Anyway, luckily that's all that seemed to happen. I'm still worried that there's damage to the control arm on the left front, as that's the piece that took the whole brunt of the force. Anyway, I have to go shopping for Winter Tires now, as I'm running with the emergency spare.

I took a look underneath and I can't see any damage, or anything bent. I'm surprised how strong the suspension is to have survived that.

Anyway, just wanted to vent a little about my misfortune, I guess it could have been worse.

Sorry to here about your accident, at least your ok and it doesn't sound like you did a lot of damage. Could have been a lot worse. Might be a good excuse to buy a new sent of rims and tires for the summer. Check out ebay there are a lot of good deals.

Re: Damn! Had an accident!! :(

Hey so I was taking a look at the suspension, and it looks like the weakest link is the wheel hub and bearings, just how much punishment can they usually take??
