Armor All...
Well, yesterday I spent 6 hours armor-alling my whole car. Went thru the entire interior and cleaned/coated everything. Why did this take 6 hours, you ask?? Well, for those of you with 8 year old blond leather you may have noticed that the front seats get people-grease and dirt stuck deep in all the pores, making the leather black-speckled and stiff. I sat there with a toothbrush and cleaning wipes scrubbing the dirt out of every pore, and now my seats are the same color as the door panels. Try it - you'll be amazed.
Another tip: You know the black plastic that your wipers hook into? the plastic that gets leaves and pine needles stuck in it right in front of your windshield? Put ArmorAll plastic protectant on that and it will be a beatiful glossy black instead of cracked-looking and grayish.
Oh, and for those of you with little cracks in your leather, what the leather-store lady suggested is getting nail polish in the same shade and using it to cover the cracks and hold them together. I'll let you know what color and brand when I find some...This is also supposed to work for those round things in the seams of your seats that have gotten all peely over the years.
