Squeaky Dash - Armor All?

I have a 2004 Vibe and I have noticed that on hot days, I get a squeak in the center of my dashboard when I start it up. Once the A/C cools off the car (about 5 minutes) the squeaking stops. I didn't notice this until I used Armor All Protectant Wipes a couple of times. Any suggestions? I hope it's not the wipes.

Cheers, Mike

Re: Squeaky Dash - Armor All?

Dont use armor all on your dash , use something less agressive like a meguirs dressing or mothers. Just my opinion but I seen lots of different problems with lots of different uses with the crap. The meguires and mothers will stop the vinyl squeek as well however since your car is soo new you could simply bring it in for warranty the dealer will get rid of the squeek for free. That squeek could also be the mirror where its latched to the windshield , I noticed that those squeek alot when i worked for gm.

When I use to be in the USAF in the early 90's, we use to use armor all to detail vehicles to include the tires.

We received a safety bulletion concerning this the it would cause plastic and rubber to dry rot.

When you see an older car or truck that has plastic trim that looks faded and flakey, that is the sign of armor all use at one time.
