watch out for the colt

here's a local guy's colt:

http://www.angelfire.com/oh5/coltboostin/

so far he's taken down a few high-11 sec cars on the hiway. his best time on the current turbo (small 16g) is a 12.1@120.

thought you guys might be interested. he had a bigger turbo on before but he blew it up, so he's looking for a bigger one at the moment. i think he built the whole car for around 2 grand.

he always goes to a local lot to screw with people and try to place bets, if they would only know what was coming..........

that colt is basically identical to the mitsubishi mirage coupe chassis which happens to be the same chassis as a EVO 1-3. so you should be able to fit the first gen 4G63 in it no problem. but i mean that FMIC is a dead givaway for its speed.

Re: watch out for the colt

Jeez! Does he have enough stuff crammed into the Tach? Either way, that's pretty amazing. Killed 11-sec cars!? Nice...Late...

Re: watch out for the colt

His boost gauge is doing the same shit my Autometer is doing. It doesn't return to 0 when the car is off. It hasn't done so since about 2 weeks after the gauge arrived.

12.1@120? Sounds like he could run a lot faster e.t. Any dyno sheets? Its a monster. Cool..

Re: watch out for the colt

not sure what numbers he's putting down but they are really good, somewhere around 300-350whp on the small turbo. he had the bigger turbo and was doing a lot more and the car was considerably faster, but i don't know much more about it.

it sure helps when a car weighs under 2000 lbs.
