Question Omni suspension?

Anyone ever heard of these?
http://www.passwordjdm.com/product.a...For=&PT_ID=293
Thinking about these or tien.
Anyone have experience with either kit?

I think I saw them being used on a B16 crx in last month's issue of Honda Tuning. They seemed to be surprisingly very well made. Don't know about how they feel though...never heard of 'em b4 that.

Re: Omni suspension?

omniman knows what hes doing! hes the guy that built a 200whp street b16a with oem honda pistons.
lots of people recommend omniman suspension because the valving is matched to the spring rate; non-adjustable valving though. they are good for street but they should do fair on the track.

Thanks guys, I was thinking for the money that it seemed like a good idea. Plus I'd be going in a different direction using that brand as opposed to all the other popular makers like tein and tockio.

Re: Omni suspension?

I’ve been using omni power coilovers for about six months now and they're great. I got these over the tein basic damper because they’re cheaper and they come with the pillow mounts that tein charges a lot for. I got the street spring rates and they ride really well, not to bouncy and comfortable enough so you can take out the lady friend without any complaints.

Omni is good stuff, equal to SKUNK2. My friend put a set of his coil-overs in his CIVIC with the front and rear camber kit. Nice product!

I have heard of Omnipower but do not know much about them. I did know one person with them and he seemed happy, though I don't know much more. It seems like they have down their homework on them though, and they do include the pillow mount as mentioned above, as well as a few other things like a larger piston and shaft, etc. One thing I always look into, name brand or not, is warrenty. Some companies offer a lifetime warrenty to the original purchaser on their shocks and springs/coils, others only a 90 day or 1 year warrenty. For example, Tein has only a 1 year warrenty, Skunk2 90-days, Koni & Ground Control lifetime to the orignal purchaser.

On the site where you can choose where you want "street or sport", the site listed the spring rates for "street" on an EF as 10kg front and 8kg rear. However, the paragraph lists the rates as 10kg front and 6kg rear. If this makes a difference to you, check into it before buying. Either way, the rates the Omni's have are stiffer than both the Tein Basic and SS type (8kg/4kg-448lbs/224lbs). That's something that would appeal to me, since it would cost $200 extra to have tein give you custom rates to match that. I myself have Koni yellows and custom spring rate ground controls on my 5th gen. The spring rates I have are similer to the Omni's, 7" 550lbs/inch (10kg) springs front and 7" 450lbs/inch (8kg) springs rear. I definatly perfer the benifits (like handling) of the stiffer rates over the "coushy" feel that comes with softer ones.

I hope this helped a bit.
