Angry Stuck in Second

I have a 1996 Mustang Cobra and it is stuck in second. I have had the transmission rebuilt, five different mechanics look at it and it still gets stuck. You can shift it once in awhile if you let the RPMs go down to zero but it may not come back out. You can wiggle, shake or force it out eventually but it still gets stuck. Anyone know what is going on here?

It sounds like the shift forks are getting stuck. Is it an aftermarket short-shifter?
How about adjusting the shifter cables/rods?

I have had other gears get stuck also. The tranny is new to the car and also was rebuilt when this first happened.

I am not a mechanic but I will mention this to my next mechanic since five have already looked at this with no fix! 6 months and I still haven't driven this car more than one day.
