New Ride

Well how many of you can say this:
My mom bought a 2004 tibron is gt v6 and has shift tronic automatic trans
Its not a corvette but very fun to drive.
The thing sounds sweet when you start it up an the acceleration is pretty sweet (At least I think so because i drive a slow ass truck so now i have respect for all cars.)
I've only driven it a little you know like 50 in town but nothing too much lol

If your mom ever gives you that car (like as the years progress) you might wanna research some superchargers. Vortech makes a good kit for it and RIPP mods has a kit using the vortech unit, sick ass Tibi's making like 365 hp to the wheels. there was a buildup of one in Superstreet a while back.

Re: New Ride

That's pretty cool. My uncle just bought himself one. He can smoke me pretty bad, and it's stock. He's a pretty wealthy guy, doesn't know anything about cars, but he wants to make it fast. Either way, he has the money to do it all. I think I'll give him your advice Musashi. Anyway, nice ride, and good looking car too. late...

Re: New Ride

Those Tiburons are pretty quick. When I had my '02 Spec V they were my arch rival. LOL.

tibby's are fun to drive. A girl at my school has one and lets me cruise around with it from time to time and I prefer its acceleration and handling compared to my 03 eclipse GT.

Re: New Ride

anything hyundia is a POS. a friend of mine jsut got an '04 GT V6 5-speed Tib. ooooooh aaaaaah 150hp to the wheels from a V6. oooohhh a single 8" woofer whose plastic enclosure vibrates louder than it plays music.
im tired of companies placing names like "sport" and "GT" and "Perrformance" on FWD very SLOW cars with horible economy for what they produce. i mean Honda Makes 250hp from a 2.0l i-4 and gets aprox. the same mileage as the TIb's 3.1l (i think) 150hp v6... and Ford placing SVT logos on a focus that isnt much faster than the regular non SVT focus. mid 15's isnt all to fast (can be beat by a nissan maxima, and nissan doesnt spout its performance all over the place) and mid 15's can only be done by people with great reactions and all good shifts. how many people on the street today have a better than 0.650 reaction time and can lay down 5 perfect shifts in 15 seconds? i cant do that and there are only a select few in this board that can do this. fun to drive, yes. should it be called performance? no. my moms truck is fun to drive. but does it have "sport" plastered all over it? no. My Friends Maxima is really fun to drive and is fairly quick (low 14's with nothing but exaust and MAF sensor upgrades) for what it is. but Nissan doesnt plaster sport all over the car.

sorry, i had to get that off my chest.

Re: New Ride

Nissan does too boast about it's performance.

You ever see that Altima commerical where they say:

"At some point you're going to have to drive a family car.... But nobody said it had to be slow."

And the Altima is all racing around and they talk about it's 250hp VQ35.

Nissan boasts about it's performance, but they do it with tact. And half the time you wouldn't recognize it. Especially the Titan commercials.

Re: New Ride

I say sell the Tiburon if you ever get it, and get something AWD or RWD

Re: New Ride

What's wrong with FWD?
