When your sister steals your car (halariously true story)

I found this shit out yesturday

About 8 months ago, my mate bought a 2nd hand Mitsubushi Magna for 13,500, it's a great car, and he's saved up enough to 'supe' it up, he put new rims on it, new horn (Musicial!), stereo system, window tint, the works, it looked (and went) awesome!

Then while he was sleeping on saturday night, his sister took the keys, stole the car, (she hasn't got a licence), drove it 20km down the coast, and did burn outs and doughies, she then crashed the car, and clocked over 4000 bucks worth of damage to it

Althought I find this bloody funny, it's sad to think anyone could do this to their family.
She's paying for the damages, and she worked at McDonals That's like 10 years pay! (She only worked 3-4 days a week after school)

Or, the insurance company pays for it, which then Chris (my mate who owns the car) would have to tell them she stole it, then she'd get charged criminally. I would like the latter, and so does him and everyone else, but his parents don't want her to have a criminal record (I would, the only way to teach them) so she's going to pay for it

Man, if my brother stole my car and crashed it...actually, if he stole my car at all period, all his most prized possesions would be come mine, just not in their original form (if you know what I mean).

Haha, that's funny, i would have turned it in to insurance... Then again it would be even funnier to make her pay for it, and get on her case about it every few seconds.

How old is this little sister? I would for sure let the insurance company handle it, no one steal my stuff and gets away with it, not even family

He's hit both ways.

Insurance - his sister has a record, his insurance goes up. Both for the theft and if she had easy access to his keys. He'll likely pay more in increases then the damage she did.

Sister - she'll take forever to pay it back, if at all.

Either way, he's in a bad spot.

yeah reminds me of my friends step sister a few years back.......took her dads 91 buick century out for a joy ride when she was 15. Rear ended someone, drove off, and tried to run from the police in a 91 century with a slipping tranny.

Re: When your sister steals your car (halariously true story)

I would just have her pay me back, no sense in messing up her future because of a moment of stupidity, but I'd still make her pay...

I'd make her go to the bank and get a loan to pay you back. Screw the waiting crap.

come on... thats being kind of extreme wanting her to be criminally charged. Its his sister not some stranger, thats family. And everyone takes out their parents or brothers car when they're underage... its pretty much a part of growing up

In retrospect it probably wasn't a bad thing.... probably wouldnt be here otherwise...

anyway, if i was the guy whose sis took his car out and raped it, i wouldnt report her to the cops, id just sell all her possessions...
