Re: gt40 heads
Quote:
There is a difference between ideal and good. Will they be better than stock E7's on a S/C motor yea but are they ideal or close to ideal.... actually the are very far from it with those small valve inhibiting flow especially when an S/C is trying to cram more air in.

Re: gt40 heads
I've posted this before, not here though...
GT-40 irons-64cc Chambers, 1.84 intake/1.54 exhaust valves. Stock 93-95 Cobra, Lightning had 65cc chambers and drilled for larger head bolts. GT-40p's-Cast iron, 60cc chamber, 1.84 intake, 1.46 exhaust. Stock Explorer 5.0, requires MAC or "P" specific FRPP headers due to modified plug angle. Makes slightly more power than GT-40 due to higher compression and better exhaust flow (despite smaller valve). GT-40 Y's: Aluminum, 1.94 int./1.54 exh. 160cc intake runners. 53cc exh. runners. 64cc chamber GT-40 X's: Aluminum, 1.94 int./1.54 exh. 178cc intake runner, 62cc exh. runner. 64 or 58cc chamber.

Re: gt40 heads
I personally plan on over 300 rwhp and running solid 12s with GT-40 X305's and my 306 in a full weight Cobra.
