help with my rims

i have a really nice set of 17" advan racing rims. they came off of my 95 silvia. i would like to put them on a 95 240sx. since they are pretty much the same car, i thought there would be no problem. now that i am looking to buy a 95 240 i find that every 240 i have looked at has 5 lugs, my rims are 4. i talked to some guy at a local tire shop and he said that they would not redrill the rims to make them 5 lug rims because it was dangerous. now it seems that my rims are the deciding factor on what car i buy and i dont like that. i paid a lot for them and i dont want them to go to waste. do you have any suggestions for me. i hope there is a way i can work this out. thanks for your time.

If you can stand some additional offset, you could get some 4 to 5 lug bolt adaptors. I would guess they would be about 25mm thick... maybe less if you have clearance in the wheels.

Re-drilling a wheel is a bad idea !!! I would suggest that you sell them on E-bay or to a friend and get wheels designed for your car . Adapters are not a good idea either if you drive aggressively at all.
