Front Struts 1992 Mustang

I jacked up my 1992 Mustang LX 5.0 and placed jack stands under the front frame rails (lift points as per shop manual) and replaced the oxygen sensors. I jacked the car back up and removed the stands and took it for a test run. I noticed that the front end was bouncing like a low rider. I stopped the car and pushed down on each front corner of the car and there is no give ...it's like the struts are locked up or something. What gives??? have I extended the front struts and they have locked in full stroke, is there some purge valve or what? I would appreciate any help. I have never had this problem before....

If your shocks are frozen then there is nothing you can do but replace them. They were probably already on there way out if it makes you feel better
