just bought my first house
After going through about 3 counter offers, we finally accepted and signed to buy a house this morning. The man who is selling it is 95 years old and is in a "retirement community" so we got it for way cheaper than he was asking.
It is 3 Bed, 1.5 Bath 1,636 Sq. Ft. 3/4 acres of wooded land http://www.realtor.com/FindHome/Home...7&lnksrc=00002 The only thing I dont like is that it doesnt have a dishwasher, and it is on well water. But my boyfriend is the appliance manager so I'll have a dishwasher before the end of the year. And the well water is softened so it shouldn't be too bad.

congrats on your first house!!! One thing about well water is, if you wash dishes and leave the water running while cleaning the dirty dishes. The water will get dirty for about 20-30 minutes, water will be all cloudy and undrinkable. but other than that it tastes great. That house looks pretty nice also, looks big enough to fit your rotary car engine family

Congrats on the new house...I know what you mean about well water, we have it here at my house. Our well water smells and tastes like rotten eggs, it's awful. But all well water is different.

Nice house, don't worry about the well water, that's what I have at my house, and I don't even have a water softner, and it's still fine. Putting a water softner won't affect your drinking water, it's only for your appliances, plus you can get one for $300.
