A Question that needs an answer...
This may be stupid but does anybody think that VTEC would engage in reverse?
...hmmmm... -Brian |

Re: A Question that needs an answer...
the vtec solonoid doesn't care or know what gear you're in, if you could go fast enough in reverse to reach the vtec engagement point for whatever engine you're talking about, then yes, it would engage.

Re: A Question that needs an answer...
You could be onto something here though, "new backwards street racing" could be a bit of a challenge, it wouldnt half give you a criche in your neck.

Re: A Question that needs an answer...
They actually have organized backwards racing somewhere...I think someone posted a video of it about a year ago or so in this very forum.

Re: A Question that needs an answer...
I don't know but the guy who is asking the question is the one whose signature has an engine with a VTEC on it in big letters. Someone who has a VTEC engine should just try it out.

uhm.....
how do you think reverse driving works? I mean, you could've meant it as a joke or do you actually think, the crank will rotate backwards when in reverse? gears.. the engine does exactly the same like in a 'normal' forward mode.. so, YES
