Does vtec work in reverse?
This is an ongoing mystery/joke in my local car group and I haven't had the balls to try it. Just wondering if any of you immature kids with dohc vtec's have tried going ~30mph in reverse anywhere?

Never thought of that, cant obviously shift gears in reverse how fast can you possibly go ? I think it does cause the engine dosnt know your in reverse, so full throttle should cause vtec to kick in.

I forget where I heard, but reverse is only meant to go up to a certain speed - like 10-15mph. Any faster and the tranny will blow.

He also jumped off a bridge and bottomed out and kept going. I spit on that movie. In it's defense, he movie torque (with the bikes) was much worse.

A transmission can only go so fast in MPH in reverse cause of the shortness of the gear. But I guess Vtec could activate. It wouldn't surprise me.
