Unhappy finished, but not really...

Hey there, this is one of my favorite models of all time: Monogram Pontiac Banshee. I got it as a kid, and kinda fell in love with the car (which also starred as an automotive extra on Demolition Man). It was a GM concept car from ca. 1988, and was red with a satin black hood. I've long lost my childhood rendition of this subject, and probably for the better--it was pretty crappy. But i found this at a toy show a few years back, and finally got around to it now. The build was a rather quick OOTB one, so nothing fancy--i also decided not to add mirrors to keep it sleek. The exterior is Boyd's Black & Blue Pearl, with a black hood, BMF glass support, and jet black interior. But for the BMF and chrome rims, this thing virtually disappears, but in daylight, the metal flake glows purple. I hope you can see some of the color in these pics--interior shots (even with sunlight) don't bring it out, and i tried taking outdoor pics on our first sunny day in 2 months (!), but...i had it on a sheet of cardboard on a car's hood, so the wind dutifully picked it up and threw it to the ground (see last pic). So, with any luck, i'll get it back together and take a couple outside. Enjoy!

Looks great....

Sorry about the wind tossing your photo-shoot.
Today was the first sunny day in a while around here and I was stuck inside all day...

Too bad you couldn't get pics outside. That Black and Blue Pearl is a great color but really hard to photograph indoors.

Good luck with the repairs, doesn't look to be anything too major.

a Banshee! sweet! I built one when I was a kid, no paint just testors tube glue. It was molded in red and black plastic if my mind serves me well. Good luck with the repairs. It looks cool in this color. For fun Id love to see aftermarket rims on this thing.
