Re: is it possible

yeah mybe. it would take.
1. a great driver
2. suspension mods a lot.
3. all the hp the block can take with out breaking isnt it 500 hp? not sure
4. if u can forged internals (do u mean stock block or do u mean stock internals and block?)
5. gotta lighten her up.
was it u or someone else that noticed the weight behind the bumper on convert cars. u can take that out.
6. Slicks
7. one hell of a launch.
8. a great driver
9. a great driver
10. a great driver yeah I dunno did I say that enough j/k.
someone got a notchback 5.0 into the 10s with out touching the inside of the motor not even heads.
U can lighten he up buy replacing the k member, light weight rims, sound deading material, spare tire and jack, some ppl go to the extreme and remove all the sound system(i wouldn’t do that it would just suck when ur driving) back seat delete, aluminum drive shaft, carbon fiber fenders, quaterpanels, hood and trunk lid. yeah i think all that could get u in the 10s. wouldnt that take off 300 lbs mybe.

It's definetly possible your gonna need to some work though.

1. Get 500-ish hp out of the block. Basically make as much power as you can with the stock block cause lightening it down to where less than mid 400hp can get you 10's would be hard unless you went silly and made it a track only car. Obviously you need the drivetrain set-up to withstand this power on slicks with theoretical 100% traction

2. Lighten the hell out of it... I think maybe 3,200-3,400 with you in it is where you'll be if you do a lot of lightening and still have it a fairly comfortable 2 seater daily driver. If you can get it down more great!

3. Suspension from one end to the other. You need to plant every ounce of hp you make to overcome your weight. So the whole rear needs a drag set-up on slicks. Along with things upfront like tubular k-memebers to lighten up the front, cage, subframes etcc..,

4. Driving skill practice makes perfect if you can make close to the hp and weight the only thing you need now is to get ya launches down. A good launch should get you to break into 10's a very good launch will get you in mid 10's.
