PROGRESS True Street '93 Cobra

Well, I gone an' dun it. Cut off the sideskirts of the Cobra:

I then removed the sideskirts off the "lowrider" Mustang convertable and attached them to the Cobra:

The result is a '90 GT hatchback with a Cobra insert on the front bumper:

Still needs some work to smooth it out, I'm working on it...slowly...

I also worked on the rollcage, so it now has 8 points, and finished the seatbelts:

Battery delete (It looks much much better now):

Scratchbuilt Igloo intercooler (unfinished):

Turbo setup (I'll probably do another one, this one annoys me):

That's all I have for now.

I'm actually building this model for a friend to replicate his car. It now has a 92mm Turbo, but when I started building the model it had an 76mm. It's run 9.6's at 150mph in the 1/4. He's also gotten his groceries in it. When I get more of the engine done, I'll post up pics of my 1:24 work vs. his 1:1 work.

Will69Camaro is building the same guy a replica of his '94 TT Supra. What color is the turbo Mustang you have a vid of?

Part of being a girl I guess! (right now I actually have black paint under one of my nails, I hate it when that happens)

I stole the wheels of a Motorworks '69 Camaro kit. They strongly resemble Bogart wheels, minus the slots the 1:1car's wheels have. I'll put up pictures of the wheels with the next progress pics.

Made some strides on this build in the past week. Got the paint done, headlights, windows, and parachute...still feels like baby steps, but it's getting closer to being done!

I want to apologize now for the pad photo quality, it's been a rough week. Lots of tests. I got in a hurry and used autofocus, it just doesn't work.

Actual:

The wheels are currently taped into place, in case you couldn't tell!
