1998 Supras

Is it true that 98 Supras were actually left over 97 Supras and none were produced for the 98 year?

Does anyone know? I came across this when looking for values on them at the consumer guide webpage and read what they had to say about them year by year. Heres a guote of what consumer guide said for the 98 model.

"1998 Toyota Supra: Leftover 1997 models were sold for a short time in 1998."

Re: 1998 Supras

the 97 and 98 supras were not left overs. in 1997 was the 15th anniversary I believe of the supra, they have different badges on the fenders and possibly on the inside as well, the 98 does not have such badges., The cars are the same other than that. BUT, supras were still produced in japan a little after 98. They stopped over here because of the market and emmissions I believe, but don't quote me on the last bit.

I know that, thats what I always thought until I read that at the Consumer Guide website. I think they are wrong though. I wonder what they would say if I confronted them with that question.

The only new Supras produced after 1998 are those ran in the JGTC.
