Hey whats up people i am mike and i am 22 and new to this site. want to know learn more about street racing and imports. i wanna know things like whats the wing do for a car why is there a wing on a car. Stuff thats gonna help me out when i get to school for this in the spring

Welcome. The wing is designed to fall off at high speeds.
It was originaly designed in 1981 by William J Wing. His son Spoiler Wing and his wife Splitter Wing then carried on the refinement and development of the process. Rather intersting if you ask me. |

Wings are designed to create stability at high speed, a splitter will assist in creating front downforce and the spoiler will assist in creating rear downforce. Wings on most road cars are more cosmetic than functional.
