Progress: '66 NovaCane
Started the AMT '66 Nova pro street. Had a couple of hood scoops, decided to go with the smaller one to give it a more street look(thanks Matt). Here are a few pics so far:
Heres the body after shaved and smoothed: Heres the door panels and dash, they have been smoothed also, will be using photo-etched door handles and window cranks. The wheel on the left was drilled also: The body all shaved and primed, ready for paint. The car will be Tamiya black!! Last edited by ol' dude; 10-25-2004 at 08:58 AM. |

Looks good so far, but I'd suggest shaving that scoop a bit more to fair it into the hood a bit better. It has a bit of a lip/bulge thing happening at the back of it that really jars the eyes from the overall line of the car.
Otherwise it looks good. Can't wait to see what engine details you'll add.

Nice job so far!!!
I have one of these that I need to build someday. If I may offer a suggestion, I would increase the width of the rear fender openings to match the rear tires. The stock openings are too small for steamroller rear tires. Just my . I'll be doing that to mine when I build it.Marc

Re: Progress: '66 NovaCane
The small scoop fits the car so much better, good choice!
