Re: 92 supra 1jz-gte or 7m?

All MKIII MA70 (M for the engine series) Supra's in the US came with the 7m, the Turbo got the 7m-gte, the n/a got the 7m-ge. The JZA70 was not available oustside of JP, europe, and AUS. Any 1jz's you see here are swaps that cost roughly between of 3-4K. What are you looking to use the car for though, the Supra is very different from a 240 if you didn't know already.

Re: 92 supra 1jz-gte or 7m?

I have a buddy with a mkiii that has a 1jz in it. The car is making around 458 with gas. I would reccomend the conversion just on the fact that I always hear complaints about the 7m motors blowing head gaskets, hense why it is very difficult to blow one in a 2jz motor. He seems happy with his swap, I'm sure if you decided to go that route, you would be as well.
