Hi all,
This is going to sound silly, but I am building a car bed for my 13 year old son and I am wondering if I can safely put hydrolics on the bed. My brother said something about "leaking fluid"--I definately don't want that. I have an idea of what I want to accomplish, but I don't know how to go about it. Can you tell me the best way to achieve the "hydrolic car bed" or give me suggestions of a simpler way to get the same or similar results? Obviously, I know nothing about cars, but I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks |

Re: hydrolics
to run hydraulics you need an electric pump, these require alot of power. If you did it well it wouldn't leak. I would suggest using electric servo motors though, I would never want a hydraulic system in a bedroom and its really hard to build your first hydraulic system.

Re: hydrolics
How about air? If it leaks its not a mess, and air compressors for home use are a dime a dozen. Put an air compressor in your garage, run a hard line to the bedroom, and put some junkyard truck airbags under the bed. Big lines, big valves, your kid will have instant "catapult" capability at will
