Ive got pioneer 2-ways in the front and 3-ways in the back(6x8's) and I love em. Good price too, got em from walmart. I've always had good luck with Pioneer. Best though, JL. I've heard em from a few different cars and they all sound awesome.

Once you get a high-end speaker from a high-end brand it really comes down to just brand preference cause your not going to audibly hear a big difference even though it's there.
I prefer Infinity speakers my friend prefers JBL.... there are some specs that favor my speakers and there are some that his are better at. But the truth is they both sounds awesome and you can't really tell the differences in sound.

Re: 6x8 best speakers?
If your going to put a huge aftermarket stereo system in your car (amp, subs, etc.) depending on which stock stereo system you have. (I have the Mach 460) What i am going to do is keep the factory 6X8 speakers that are connected to the factory amps and install bass blockers on them so the sound doesnt get distorted when you turn your music up. This way you can have aftermarket subs and a powerful amp and keep the speakers you already have and know sound good without wasting money on more.

Re: 6x8 best speakers?
i have focal 3 ways, 6" in the doors, 4 1/4" and tweets in custom kick panels on the floor... i would get rings made for the door speakers, very easy to do and the sound is increadable

Re: 6x8 best speakers?
I still have my stock factory 6x9's and they still sound good. They dont get any loud bass notes. Ample Audio Amp, and 2fosgate p3's. The mustang facotory 6x8s seem to be some of the better factory car speakers out.
