Everyone has heard of the bloody mary curse. For those that haven't. The rumor is that when you go to the bathroom at night with the lights off, and constantly say bloody mary in front of the mirror (varies from 10-100 times) that bloody mary herself (a historical figure who slaughtered thousands in history) will appear and will either kill you or curse you.

Now my question is if anyone tried it? I'm sure most of us don't believe it (I don't). At the same time I'm still psychologically scared to go in the bathroom to go try it. I don't actually believe anything will pop up, but the idea is still creepy and frightening nonetheless. I remember hearing a bunch of stories in elementary school, frightened kids saying they heard first-hand account of it being true. Wondering if anyone has the balls to go try it now.

And yes it probably is childish but I still am too damn scared to try it, and I'm still curious about it.

i think the point of that was to convince other people to go in with you and then yell or something just to scare the rest of them.

Ohh, the hoax. I was told the devil would show up. But I share the same thoughts with publicenemy. It's a freaky thought......... It's already freaky enough, that my dormitory is literally haunted. There was a fire in my whole dorm, and a prefect risked his whole life to save a student, and died in the fire. Some freaky shit has happened that I went crying (exaggeration) to the housemaster about, which that doesnt help.

Actually it did happened to me at least. I did not see any image, but I did hear a voice telling me to get my ass back in bed.

Tried it twice when I was in elementary. Once in the school bathroom and once at my friends house with both of us in the bathroom doing it at the same time. All I remember saying it several times, not 10 times though. Both times I remember the mirror seemed as though it were beginning to change to a color and then we bolted out as fast as we could. Obviously mind playing tricks on you experience.

Years ago, after watching the Candyman with my GF and one of her friends, I went into the bathroom and said "Candyman" 5 times into the mirror. Then, I proceeded to scare the shit outta the girls a little later that night (just jumped out at them when they least expected it). Well, apparently I creeped myself out a bit too, because I still remember checking the backseat of my car before I left.
