Hood pin set

Hi everybody!

Which do you think is the better hood/bonnet pin set, Detail Masterīs?
Or is it easier to scratchbuild one? Has anyone used any kind of PE hood pin set on their car?

Thanks,
Fredrik

Re: Hood pin set

I use various makes depending on the type I'm trying to replicate.

Do a forum search for some of the previous threads on the subject

Re: Hood pin set

Sakatsu is another option you might want to look into. They have a great "modern type" hood pin set. I think its molded in white metal. The Detail Master set is really good, it all depeneds on the look you want.

Re: Hood pin set

I use them on some of my nascar's. detail master is by far the best, and pretty easy to use.

Perhaps if you're building Nascar they're the best, but for 90% of any other race car out there, they're pretty much no good as they wouldn't be accurate.
Sakatsu makes nice ones, as are some in the SMS sets and St27 sets.

Thanks everyone for your replies!

Iīm not really sure what type of pins Iīd like, but the ones I chose will be mounted on a bad ass Skyline R34 (with SAS N-style hood). Letīs put it this way, regardless of money, which is the better one? And WeaPonX, I absolutley loved your RX-8, what fabricate were the pins on it (loved them too)?
