Re: getting more hp

Depends do how much power you're looking to make... intake and exhaust upgrades are usually done first, you'll have a few hundred left over after that, maybe upgrade the whole exhaust system (headers - y-pipe - cat - catback) instead of just getting a catback

Re: getting more hp

Also rear-end gears... they don't add HP but they do make the car quicker

It think auto cars should go with shift kit and a looser convertor first, no hp addaged really but it wakens the car up and then gears would be a major plus too!

It's not always about adding more but getting more from what you got!

Re: getting more hp

How doe syour engine run and ya tranny feel now? If they both feel good then yea I would..... I mean honestly putting a shift-kit in is mad easy also.

I dunno your car or Camaro's real well but if you have an electrnically controlled tranny you can use a chip which will work as a shift kit.

Re: getting more hp

I would upgrade the exhuast starting with headers into a high flow cat and a catback system. Or if you know a good muffler shop get long tube headers and run duals.

Re: getting more hp

Headers - Cat - Cam - Rear End Gears. Should just about eat up a G. and offer you between 40 - 70 HP. depending on the application and brands. Like they said , Gears in the rears don't give hp just allow you to utilize more of what you have =D "Stock sucks!" damn import people...

Re: getting more hp

you can buy 750cc fuel injectors and a cobra valve cover if you want real power. also you can pick up an LSD for about 8-9000 to lay down about 50 hp more to every wheel. thats about 300 hp on top of stock. but your car is an 88 and it is a chevy so even if your engine was new it might not hold up to the power cuz its crappy. seeing that ur engine is over 15 years old it is probably in extremely shitty condition in which case u might settle for a 200 hp shot of nos or something light to incrase power slightly.

Haha..what a dolt. Damn integra boy. I eat integras up for my midnight snacks and my car is 15 years old with a ol' crappy engine. I must win a lot against imports because my 15 year old car sucks so bad -shrug-

"Looky , I have an inegra . The biggest thing I can put in here has 4 cylinders and a 2.3 litres..wah wah..I want to be cool like the domestic muscle heads." Go back to sucking your bottles and next time a camaro passes you , show some respect.

Werd up.

Oh yeah - A 'cobra' valve cover won't give you a single HP increase , not even .25 , nothing , nodda it's purely cosmetic. Who ever told you buying a valve cover would give you some "REAL POWER" is just as full of lube as you.
