Question Subaru Impreza WRX vs. Nissan SE-R Spec V

I know the WRX is faster but considering the MSRP base prices and all specs which would you recommend between the two?

some specs and considerations:

Impreza WRX AWD 227HP 0-60 5.4secs Runs low 14's 1/4 mile
Base MSRP: $ 23,995.00

Nissan SE-R Spec V FWD 175HP 0-60 6.8secs Runs 15.3secs 1/4 mile
Base MSRP: $16,999.00

So considering the price and the overall quality of the cars themselves(subaru, nissan)
I will be putting some after market parts on prolly the Nissan if I get it, faster than i would the WRX. Just b/c I want it to be faster
Probably exhaust, cold air intake, then turbo... prolly runnin' 15psi

- some questions -
I've heard some great things about Subaru's handling...
Is it worth it, would Nissan's compare?
I know it depends but as an est. considering the after market parts I would put on the SE-R Spec V, how much horse would that generate?

Also another thing thats bothering me about the two choices I have. I first started looking at the WRX when they were in Europe and Subaru wouldn't bring them over here b/c of our laws. Well now that its here I have loved it even more but now... It seems its getting more popular and a lot of people are getting them just to be the latest and greatest.

The reason I wanted the WRX in the first place is b/c it was unique. Its not like ever other v-tech honda you see everywhere and it'll knock the shit out of any other cars I'll be racing where I live. Now the SE-R Spec V is out and nobody really knows about it...yet anyways. :/

Guess you could add a 2002 VW GTI 204hp 6 speed to that list too. Have been considering that too.

WRX...the Spec V cant really compete stock vs. stock versus the WRX. And the fact that the WRX is turbo, is severly restricted by those 3 cats, and has a HUGE GROWING aftermarket following...the WRX is the best choice...and you really dont have to modify it as quickly as the Spec V...since it is a good car out of the box.
