Tamiya Impreza WRC '04 Pic

Found this picture through Google of Tamiya's upcoming release of the 2004 Rally Japan Subaru Impreza Rally car. It might be a picture of a prototype of the model, like they did with the Carrera GT, or it might be the actual model, i'm not sure. Here is the pic:

Oooooooooh!

Perhaps we'll see some decal sets for it, too, since Solberg's won two more since then...

Re: Tamiya Impreza WRC '04 Pic

It's surely not a prototype: it has an interior. Just ready to be commercialised! Let's hope it won't be the only 2004 WRC kit they will release!

Awesome! Now we can get the pretty new lights on street machines instead of the bugeyes.

The Heller 2003 Impreza is on the way to me from Japan as we speak...er, well type. I am afraid it will look like a lump of blue coal next to that kit...sigh, I can hardly wait. Might have to get two and convert one to a tarmac car and wait on after market decals. <does a happy dance> I know what my wife is getting me for Christmas!

Re: Tamiya Impreza WRC '04 Pic

I have that Heller '03 kit: It IS a lump of coal compared to a Tamiya kit. Think their 1/43rd kits up-sized. Unless you are satisfied with a decent body and almost NO underside detail, then either wait for the Tamiya version of slap the Heller body on an earlier Tamiya model.
